Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional care to our patients with wounds, ostomy and incontinence. If you would like to join a team of experienced clinical wound healing professionals in a supportive and teamwork oriented environment, apply now!

  • As a registered nurse in the wound healing center, you will conduct a thorough patient history and medication review of each patient, conduct a thorough wound assessment, including wound measurements, wound cultures, transcutaneous oxygen measurements and photography.

  • On an as needed basis and under the direction of the physician, you will perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy and transcutaneous oxygen tests.

  • By communicating with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, staff nurses, physical therapy, diabetes care, nutritional support and other ancillary departments, you will facilitate outpatient and inpatient care in relationship to wound healing.

  • You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions, care, education, physician orders and communications utilizing computerized documentation systems

  • When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.

  • 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required.

  • 1 year of nursing experience in a wound healing environment preferred.

  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.

  • Current Wound Care Certification (WCC) preferred.
