About Progressive Care Neuro vascular Unit PNCU:

  • 23-bed remote telemetry unit.

  • We have 39 employees including technicians.

  • Providing and enhancing inpatient care for neurological disorders, as well as neurological trauma injuries

  • Henrico Doctors' Hospital is a proud recipient of the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for stroke care as well as spinal fusions, and named a Certified Primary Stroke center by Joint Commission.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the Progressive Neuro Care Unit patient.

  • Performs job tasks in a way that ensures personal, patient, and departmental safety.

  • Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. Documents required information according to hospital policy.

  • Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.

EXPERIENCE

Required - Current Virginia LPN license or compact license.

Preferred - One year experience in area of clinical expertise to which applying.

EDUCATION

Required - Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

Preferred - Enrolled in a registered nurse program.
