Position Overview: We are seeking an Account Development Manager to develop new and potential accounts within a defined territory. This role involves working with prospective clients to assess their current service programs and collaborating with a team to develop and implement effective sales strategies. The Account Development Manager will own the strategic selling process, communicate value to resolve client issues, and manage the sales process from implementation to transition for new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct cold calls and network to secure first appointments with decision-makers.
Identify, plan, and execute growth strategies for existing clients.
Partner with businesses to create unique and innovative solutions.
Develop risk-mitigation strategies to help clients budget for future projects.
Present pricing options for service and planned maintenance agreements.
Benchmark partner facilities to identify inefficiencies.
Build and maintain strong business partnerships to gain client trust and meet objectives.
Create financial and life cycle analyses to quantify value from the customer’s perspective.
Generate and deliver impactful proposals and executive-level presentations.
Participate in sales and industry training to drive sales results.
Collaborate with operations and sales teams to meet customer needs.
Track all sales activities in Salesforce.com.
Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
Develop technical knowledge of HVAC equipment and maintenance requirements.
Prepare estimates for maintenance contracts.
Provide total facilities solutions, including HVAC, sheet metal, preventative maintenance, and building automation systems.
Collaborate with Lighting, Power, Energy, and eMobility teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in facilities services or business solutions sales.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage the entire sales cycle and lead customer engagements.
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work with various teams.
Strong proposal writing skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
Motivated to grow professionally, personally, and financially.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com (or similar CRM).
