Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Business Development Coordinator to support the Energy and Infrastructure team. The Business Development Coordinator supports the business development efforts of the firms EIT practice. Coordinates efforts with attorneys and members of the Marketing and Business Development team. The role involves the preparation and production of proposals, pitch materials and client presentations; event coordination and onsite event management; coordination of e-communications and marketing collateral; and other administrative support. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Assists with the development of pitch materials, proposals and presentations for clients and prospective clients for attorney review and approval. Drafts, edits and proofreads the technical responses and related materials, and coordinates the production of the final materials. 2. Coordinates and supports production of communications including client alerts and collateral material (i.e., attorney biographies, practice and industry descriptions). Works with related Marketing and Business Development team and other departments across the firm to ensure quality communications. 3. Assists with planning and budgeting support for client relationship building events for EIT and other related firm wide activities. This may include webinars, conferences, sponsorships, client appreciation events and special events. 4. Provides input into the Pitch/RFP Tracker and Project Tracker, including data entry into the firms systems. Assists in the tracking of information related to RFP status. Documents and maintains proposal-related information for future reference. Tracks and reports outcomes of business development activities. 5. Conducts research projects and prepares reports in support of EIT business development initiatives. Works closely with the Information Services Resources available at the firm. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of three years job related experience required, including internships, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to generate a large volume of work and be capable of making sound decisions in the absence of clear instructions. Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills. Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through both written and oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments to work overtime on short notice required.
