BACKGROUND

Prosper-tech is a family owned (25 people) CNC machining service provider for the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries. We are looking to add to our quality team to work alongside our quality engineering technician in a dedicated climate-controlled quality lab.

JOB TYPE & BENEFITS

• Full-time
• First Shift -- 8-4:30
• $20-30+/hr depending on experience.
• Paid holidays and vacation time

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent minimum
• 2-year advanced degree in related field (preferred)
• 4-year advanced degree in related field (preferred)
• 4 years+ of precision measuring experience
• Must be able to read blueprints and know how to measure a feature off a print
• Must have strong understanding and application of GD&T

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Blueprint reading -- Must be able to identify physical features off print, associated tolerances, and determine which quality tools to use to measure.
• GD&T -- Must understand GD&T principles and how to apply to parts inspection.
• Ability to complete first article inspections
• Ability to create CMM programs using PC-DMIS
• Ability to follow instructions on how to operate CMM using existing programs.
• Ability to use the following -- Micrometers, calipers, gage pins, gage blocks, dial indicators, surface plate, optical comparator, etc
• Able to communicate verbally and written.
• Ability to work within AS9100 requirements and through a digital ERP system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform First Article and First Piece inspections using check print (part drawing) and record on dimensional inspection report.
• Perform in-process QC inspections using check print (part drawing) and record on dimensional inspection report.
• Perform supplier verification checks as needed by different outsourcing processes.
• Perform final visual inspection of work orders before shipping.
• Proactively manage daily workload to eliminate any Quality bottlenecks.
• Work within ISO9000 / AS9100 Quality Management System
