Position overview:
We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to perform financial transactions, from processing payments and variable expenses to finish monthly bank reconciliations.
The incumbent’s responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures and calculating tax payments and returns.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor daily accounting transactions
Assist with budget, forecasts, cash flow project, bank covenants reports
Prepare financial statements on time
Participate monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile and monitor variable accounts, and make adjustment entries if necessary with supporting points
Prepare tax filings and remittance in time base
Manage and prepare monthly profit/loss statements
Report and analyze on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Assistance for the audit requirements from governmental bodies and external financial auditors
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or equivalent
2+ years of experience as an Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software (i.e. Sage, NetSuite, Simply Accounting, Peachtree Accounting, QuickBooks)
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Additional certification CPA is a plus
Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, specifically with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, complex formulas and functions) and database skills
Strong experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit & collections
Analytical and problem solving skills
