ATI is currently seeking a full time Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team at our Richland, Washington location. Our Richland Operation specializes in melting Titanium and Titanium Alloys to produce ingots for use in multiple applications in the Aerospace and Medical Markets. This position works day shift consisting of 8 hours, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4 pm. This is an entry level position with much opportunity for growth and advancement.

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you are instrumental in driving efficiencies and increased effectiveness in meeting production goals and objectives to continue our growth and meet customer expectations. In addition, you’ll spend 70% of your time on a forklift, overseeing inventory, loading, and unloading materials, stocking parts and consumables. Employees in this position must pay close attention to detail and stay organized to ensure accuracy and are required to work safely as providing a safe environment to work in is the company's top priority.

In order to become successful, you will have to quickly learn our products and processes, have a continuous improvement mindset, a hunger to learn, and an eye for detail. Exceptional communication skills and a safety mind set will be crucial in this role. You will work closely with the Quality Team, Operations and Shipping and Receiving to provide expertise and careful review and audit of materials.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying and distributing supplies/equipment.

  • Precise data entry.

  • Operates forklift, loading and unloading of deliveries and shipments, ensuring ERP system accuracy.

  • Ensure adherence safety policies and procedures.

  • Ensure daily targets are met for receiving, picking/issuing and packing of material.

  • Responsible for monitoring inventory to ensure sufficient supply levels to meet business and customer needs.

  • Creates and manages all batches in the computerized tracking system (OPM).

  • Assists in managing inventory levels to meet business requirements.

  • Resource for production on OPM operations and traveler completion.

  • Manages outside material and product processing.

  • Works with the Quality department to problem solve material related issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED.

  • Forklift Certification.

  • One year of experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with structured Quality programs.

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Familiar with inventory processes.

  • Previous experience with structured Safety programs.

  • Previous experience in the metals industry.

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate Excel capabilities.

  • Basic math skills and computer skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed.

  • Proficient data entry/inventory tracking using a computer data system and paperwork.

  • Follow work, process, quality, and safety procedures and abide by all workplace policies and ethical standards.

  • Must be deemed medically qualified to perform the functions of the job.

Our Total Rewards program and options available to an employee may vary depending on multiple factors, including location and hire date. Hourly pay rates are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Hourly pay rate: $19.83 - $31.65
