job summary:
A Senior Pipe Stress Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This position involves performing pipe stress analysis per ASME B31.3, ensuring piping system flexibility and stability, collaborating with engineers and vendors, and using stress analysis software to deliver cost-effective and compliant designs.

responsibilities:
Perform pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.
Model piping systems to verify flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to ensure a quality, cost-effective design.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.
Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs.
Grade Education/Experience Requirements:
Grade 25: BS degree with 6 years of related experience.
Grade 26: BS degree with 9 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE (Professional Engineer) Registration.
Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs, including ME101 and/or Bentley AutoPIPE.
Previous experience on Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Energy (DOE) projects.
