GENERAL SUMMARY

The Supervisor of Reactor and Major Maintenance provides leadership, technical guidance, work management, engineering assessment, and administration of a group comprised of diverse disciplines and expertise, including project managers, supervisors, and the Support Contractors. Supervisor responsibilities include providing oversight for Columbia Generating Station (CGS), project personnel, and contractors to ensure that plant related reactor and major maintenance work performed by the contractor at CGS is completed in a manner that assures the safety of the plant, the employees, and the general public. The supervisor plans and administers work on departmental projects and coordinates large scale station-wide plant projects, providing oversight for multi-discipline teams during the implementation of plant reactor and major maintenance projects including performance monitoring, technical issue resolution, and redirection of resources as necessary to meet goals. Safe work execution is a dominant factor in the ability of Energy Northwest to meet its principal goals and objectives. Additionally, provide input to the manager on budget, schedule, staffing, and planning that is required to support planned reactor and major maintenance projects and other outside business activities. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Supervisor of Reactor and Major Maintenance, under direction of the manager, plans and administers work on departmental projects, ensuring maximum productivity and cost effectiveness. Leads multiple plant major maintenance project teams, monitoring and evaluating progress and results, and determines what technical or process improvements are needed to achieve ultimate goals. Manages and directs all phases of projects with broad general knowledge of all aspects of the projects or processes. This position manages refueling outage, forced outage, and other multi-discipline plant related reactor and major maintenance projects through planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring to ensure that work is executed in an efficient and safe manner. This includes all aspects of project implementation including budget development and tracking, technical issue resolution, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial safety, work prioritization, resource loading, and work execution including resolution of schedule delays and conflicts.

It also includes providing oversight of multiple contractors such that all work performed by the contractors at CGS is in a manner that assures the safe and efficient operation of the plant. Monitor the contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with all plant processes and procedures. Develop and maintain performance indicators for the contractor and monitor performance against them.

Assist the Reactor and Major Maintenance Manager in assuring that appropriate staffing and qualifications are maintained.

Assist and train subordinates, as needed. Prepare performance expectations and complete semi annual performance reviews for staff. Make recommendations regarding employment, promotions, salary changes, transfers, and terminations. Resolve personnel problems.

Support effective implementation of the corrective action program.

•Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.

•Must support the biennial refueling outage

•Must provide support to the OCC and EOC.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 10 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience.

Experience in supervision of a multi-disciplined organization, technical and manual staff is required. Experience must be as the responsible supervisor or project manager at a commercial nuclear power plant, non-nuclear power plant or on industrial facility projects. Experience must also include managing complex projects, on-line work management or refueling and forced outage management related activities.

Pay Range

$129,490.00 - $194,234.00 Annual

Midpoint:

$161,862.00

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

Incentive Compensation

This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
