Volt is immediately hiring for Operations Consultant-Nuclear Powerplant in Richland, WA (100% Remote) Position Type: Full time contract Duration: 12+ months As a Nuclear Powerplant Operations Consultant, you will Position Responsibilities: * Provide training, planning, support, and development of employees tasked with carrying out program development scope. * The scope includes supporting applicable program identification, prioritization, and scheduling, and addressing or minimizing regulatory challenges. This position will support the development of the programs for use at new nuclear projects, including identification of NRC, NEI, EPRI or other reliable practices or regulations that should be incorporated and "right sizing" the program, process, or procedure specifically suited to the advanced reactor design. * This position consults a group of managers, supervisors, and individual contributors to develop new nuclear programs for internal and external stakeholders. These programs will support the commercial operations of new nuclear generation projects. Manage the group in delivering programmatic solutions for functions such as operations, maintenance, training, and quality assurance for new nuclear reactors. * Business Development - This position will interface with key business stakeholder representatives. Develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders and help maintain EN's positive reputation in the industry. Provide input to business proposals and RFP responses. * Planning - As needed, perform strategic and/or long-range planning; develop goals and milestone schedules; allocate, assign, and align resources. * Personal Development - This position will be responsible for consulting with and supporting a group of supervisors and individual contributors. Consulting may include coaching and mentorship to this group. Required: * Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university and ten years of experience in a combination of operations, maintenance and/or technical in the nuclear industry. * OR an associate degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university with at least twelve years of experience in a combination of operations, maintenance and/or technical in the nuclear industry. * Previous RO/SRO license, SRO certification, Senior Operator qualification, or station Management Certification in the nuclear industry. * Previous consulting experience in the nuclear industry. * Previous experience in nuclear operations, training, quality assurance and/or maintenance programs. * Note: Acceptable nuclear industries include commercial nuclear power plants, nuclear fuel production facilities, or nuclear fuel or reactor developers. Required Abilities and Skills: * Ability to effectively accomplish complex goals in an uncertain environment. * Applicable portions of CFR, Regulatory Guides, INPO Guides, and industry standards. * Procedural and programmatic compliance requirements and standards associated with nuclear plant programs. * Understanding of budgeting concepts, and budget development and monitoring. * Knowledge of nuclear power plant operations. * Requires knowledge and ability to apply advanced engineering and operations techniques, practices, theories, and methods to support and advise new nuclear development from project engineering through project startup. * General aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite. * Use a personal computer to word-process materials. * Write effective program documents. * Plan and organize personal work activities to be most effective and to plan and organize program descriptions. * Ability to effectively interface with peers, s To view the full job description,
