JOB  SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget. Designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project, monitors progress and performance against the project plan, and takes action to resolve issues as they arise. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND  RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the client contact; presents project status, manages the project change process, manages client expectations, addresses billing/invoicing issues, and identifies opportunities for follow-up work or new projects.

  • Develop project schedules that are compatible with customer needs and internal department capability.

  • Closely monitor project progress throughout the project cycle to ensure achievement of project milestones and deadlines and avoid liquidated damages or other penalties.

  • Coordinate internal and external project activities and meetings.

  • Continually monitor and update budget attainment, and accurately forecast costs and revenue consistent with Percentage of Completion accounting practice.

  • Communicate with customers to address project issues, change orders, and warranty issues, and maintain documentation of the same. Consult subject matter experts as needed and escalate concerns as appropriate.

  • Generate and present reports regarding projects status.

  • Maintain acceptable accounts receivable turns.

    EDUCATION and  EXPERIENCE

  • Experience:   Must have at least 2 years of related experience in a professional office setting.

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

    LOCATION & WORK SCHEDULE

    This is a full-time, office-based position at our facility in Richland, Mississippi. O ffice hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, plus overtime as required. Remote work is not available.
