Job Title: CNC Vertical Milling Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Vertical Milling Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and setting up Okuma Vertical Machining Centers and Lagun Mills with Acu-Rite PWR Control. This role involves simple programming at the machine control, managing close manufacturing tolerances, troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring machines are properly maintained. The candidate must follow safe practices and maintain proper documentation of work performed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up Okuma Vertical Machining Centers and Lagun Mills with Acu-Rite PWR Control.

  • Perform simple programming at the machine control.

  • Manage close manufacturing tolerances (.0001-.0005 inches).

  • Troubleshoot machine issues.

  • Understand tooling and proper feeds and speeds.

  • Ensure machines are properly maintained.

  • Follow safe practices and housekeeping instructions for the department.

  • Report work performed and maintain proper documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in CNC Vertical Milling machining applications.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Responsibility for own quality and production.

  • Understanding of G&M Codes.

  • Stable work history.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read blueprints including GD&T.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00
