Sun Country Airlines is seeking an Aircraft Acquisition & Returns Manager to be responsible for coordinating the aircraft acquisition and return process to include technical requirements and documentation. Responsible for the bridging of aircraft into the Sun Country Maintenance Program and cost effectively returning aircraft as dictated by Company objectives. Essential roles and responsibilities of an Aircraft Acquisition & Returns Manager Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Thoroughly understand stated aircraft delivery and return conditions to maximize return on investment. Coordinate aircraft survey and delivery activities to include MRO check representation and aircraft inspection. Formulate, organize, and monitor aircraft acquisition/return process to include aircraft modifications required prior to entry in-service, lead time requirements and in-service estimate. Define suitable strategies including expertise/labor requirements to achieve company Objectives. Lead and evaluate Departmental staff as well as third party vendors. Develop and control budget, activities, and deadlines. Assume overall responsibility for final maintenance bridging/accomplishment documents as well as Aircraft setup in TRAX. Assure that Company technical manuals are updated to reflect inducted aircraft. Coordinate any follow on modifications not accomplished prior to entry in-service. Coordinates technical requirements and documentation for aircraft acquisitions and returns. Prepare progress reports and Gantt Charts as required. Any other duties assigned by the Senior Director Technical Operations Engineering. Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, Federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines. Classification: Full-time, Exempt Working Location:This position is open in Minneapolis, MN Supervisory Responsibility: None The qualifications we are looking for in an Aircraft Acquisitions & Returns Manager include: Ten years of experience in large transport aircraft Three or more years experience with aircraft acquisitions and returns. Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong analytical skills Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written Must have good Management/people skills Proven leadership skills The ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and organize effectively Keen attention to details and excellent communication skills Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency, demonstrates initiative and able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Preferred Skills Three (3) to five (5) years aviation management experience Bachelor's degree in an area with a focus on aviation or aeronautics Multilingual Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones photocopiers, filing cabinets.
