This position is responsible for assisting upper level management with their staffing decisions based upon forecasted work. This position requires excellent proven communication skills as well as critical thinking and analytical skills. Must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to successfully communicate with various levels of management. Assignments typically include researching and analyzing data using a variety of tools such as Microsoft Access (Staffing Center), Excel, PowerPoint and SAP in order to present information to managers in support of their business strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitates the analysis of engineering staffing, capital assets, and Class 0 budgets.

Works closely with Program Management, Engineering and Finance organizations to reconcile Cost of Sales data each month

Diligence in information gathering and updating in Staffing Center tools and presentation of analyzed data to Principal Engineering Managers and Engineering Directors

Excellent planning and time management skills - ability to prioritize, analyze and present detailed data in a small window of time

Maintain a positive working relationship with team Managers/Directors and communicate effectively

Update and maintain forecasting models to help predict staffing needs

Analyze vacation, general time, training and other factors for on-going historical trend analysis and forecasting purposes

Analyze FTE and position capacity of cost centers for staffing and long range strategic planning

Advise Engineering Managers and Directors of observed workflow issues and/or trends

Develop, analyze, and distribute ad hoc reports as requested

Requires considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

Determines methods and procedures on data analysis

Work with minimal supervision or independently on a day-to-day basis setting appropriate priorities

Work well in a fast paced environment with sometimes short deadlines.

High level of proficiency in Excel to create pivot tables, charts, graphs and ability to develop complex spreadsheets for data analysis

Supports preparation of presentations.

Supports development of ALM web pages.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen
