Job Description:
The Pharmacist - Casual dispenses medications ensuring that the right drug, the right dose, the right directions, the right refills, the right doctor, and the right precautions are indicated on each prescription label. The Pharmacist - Casual is an important information resource to patients, providers, and staff and interacts in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The Pharmacist maintains appropriate documentation and meets all state and federal standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s or Pharm D degree.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Experience with computer systems.
Preferred/Optional:
Knowledge of third party reimbursement plans.
For Specialty Pharmacy: Experience in a specialty pharmacy based position.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required:
Pharmacist license awarded by the State of Wisconsin or eligibility for Wisconsin pharmacist licensure that must be obtained within three months of hire.
For Specialty Pharmacy: Board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties within two years’ of hire.
