We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical & Automation (E&A) Project Engineer to join our Engineering team in Nestle corporate headquarters in Rhodes, Sydney.

In this role, you will execute Electrical, Automation and digital projects within Oceania in line with corporate guidelines, ensuring that all project deliverables enhance business objectives, TDC, product quality and plant operation/performance while ensuring that people health and safety, product safety and environment are never compromised.

A day in the life…

Reporting to the Oceania Senior Electrical Engineer and delivering planned objectives in the Technical & Production (T&P) Automation strategy, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the delivery of Automation capital project in the market from the preparation to implementation in terms of technical soundness, Regional standardisation, costs and resources ensuring the alignment with standards, flawless implementation and CQV (commissioning, qualification and verification).

  • Ensure the projects delivered achieve the desired benefits whether it's EUPS reduction, safety improvement, compliance or labour productivity improvement.

  • Support factory teams in building on site technical capability in the technologies delivered.

  • Provide advanced electrical automation engineering and technical support to factory trades and production teams.

  • Must fully understand the technical details of the MES-E&A solutions in all projects.

  • Ensure the application and compliance to MES-E&A related legislation (i.e., electrical, calibration, etc).

  • The MES-E&A engineer must have a deep insight of the processes, and continuously strive for the improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.

  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in relevant field (Electrical / Automation / Mechatronics)

  • Minimum 3 years Automation and / or MES engineer with Electrical experience (as Project Engineer, Project Manager or Factory E&A Engineer).

  • Strong leadership and people management skills; experienced in leading technical teams and contractors.

  • Experience in preparation of investment budgets and acquisition of technical equipment (for Production and/or Industrial Services).

  • Participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies in Electrical and Automation areas)

  • Experience in the start-up of technical equipment and/or production lines.

  • Ability of Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them

  • Exposure to Total Productive Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance Planning and/or maintenance execution desired, but not required.
