Purpose of Position.

Ensure that the product complies with the Quality critics established in the checklists (CTQ's) / manufacturing instructions (MI) and / or visual aids. Also, be a promoter of product integrity until final packaging.

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.

  • Auditing finished products that are shipped directly to the customer and those that are handled between lines/machines and/or material for disposition.

  • Preparation of graphs, presentations and metrics with the main events and summary of the shift.

  • Release of finished product complying with critical quality standards (CTQ's).

  • Process auditing if required by your Supervisor or direct boss.

  • Notify the Quality Technician/Quality Engineer and Production Supervisor of non-conformances that impact the CTQ's of the finished product.

  • Audit documented controls according to criteria established in the BIQCP and/or process instruction.

  • Audit and record in QDA system (Product Audit).

  • Collect historical data for Statistical Process Control (SPC), as applicable.

  • Compliance with MTA plant strategic programs and certifications (5s, IKaizen, TPM's, etc.).

  • Training new Auditors or Auditors that are transferred from other production lines.

  • Contribute to and encourage compliance with MTA plant metrics, strategic projects and improvement initiatives.

  • Support with corrective action investigation in accordance with methodology designated by the Quality Engineer or their Supervisor.

  • Support in the administration, management and control of the non-conforming product/material area (internal & external).

  • Extra tasks and activities required by volume of demand, operation (previously reviewed with Supervisor).

Knowledge and Skill Requirements.

Education.

  • Engineering Degree complete or in process

Work Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in similar position

  • Experience in ISO 9001, TL 9000 is a plus

Competencies

  • Computer Equipment Management

  • Management of SAP (desirable).

  • MS Office package (basic).

  • Ability tests (Dexterity, Accuracy and Colorblindness).

  • Ability to meet production rates and main metrics of the area.

  • Knowledge of BIQCP

  • Interpretation of documentation

  • Sense of urgency

  • Knowledge of DMAIC / PDCA methodology
