Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Requires thorough understanding and application of standard theories, concepts, principles, and techniques
Key Responsibilities
Participates in small to medium projects as assigned
Provides feedback and coaching to others
Provides training as required
Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information/ materials
Develops and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Meets discrete goals within established criteria (time, cost, quality)
Interacts with others at same level, and one level above and below, to ensure continuity and efficiency
Experiences/Education - Required
Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience
Considerable job content knowledge
Experiences/Education - Desired
Successful track record of performance in chosen field
1-3 years relevant work experience
