The Director of Store Operations for Field Enablement leads a team responsible for the planning, coordinating and delivery of pivotal initiatives that drive our short, and long-term enterprise growth strategies through field evolution. The work includes collaborating with enterprise leaders and business partners to understand the vision of our strategic roadmap, preparing key functional teams for future impacts to operational processes and the customer and associate experience, while continually assessing operational opportunities, organizational change, and risk to daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads implementation of strategic company initiatives, and new and emerging concepts that drive enterprise growth through the field organization. This includes ongoing evolution of the field operating model, and customer initiatives related to Big Rocks and Office of Excel-eration.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive, integrated operational processes crafted to operate stores optimally and efficiently.

• Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams across the enterprise to identify and create solutions for impacts to the omni channel experience, including in areas of brand growth like loyalty, BOPIS, universal cart, checkout experience, etc.

• Optimize and evolve existing workstreams based on feedback and emerging capabilities (Store Operating Model evolution, Loyalty 2.0, Payment/PLCC, etc.)

• Identify and lead enablement opportunities for the field. Future opportunities include implementation of Artificial Intelligence, customer personalization/clientelling, language translation services, Mobile/Self-Check-out, Service Now use cases, and more

• Bring innovative thinking and leadership to key business initiatives that result in outstanding customer experiences and key measurable outcomes.

• Evaluates capabilities to simplify and operationalize store roles – including the management of workload and role testing (reactive and initiative testing) in stores.

• Represents store operations on taskforce and committees including those related to future state, long range planning (technology, workforce planning), Win At Christmas / Holiday, etc.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience (8+ years) in stores, operations, and retail environments.

• Excellent project management skills and can lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading and developing a team of cross-functional professionals.

• Experience building and scaling teams and systems

• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal/influence skills in dealing with all levels, develop relationships within the organization, and leverage partners to assist in goal achievement.

• Excellent analytic, problem solving and coaching skills, with the ability to take a thoughtful, data-driven approach to addressing challenges. Can see the big picture and spot patterns across seemingly disparate ideas/actions.
