Aston Carter Demand Manager in Reynoldsburg, Ohio

Aston Carter is looking to hire a Demand Manager for an opening on the Eastside of Columbus!!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Demand Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing company policies, managing department business plans, conducting training sessions, and ensuring the smooth operation of various departmental functions. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates and management.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce company policies, business plans, and budget targets.

  • Create, enforce, and review department business plans and budget targets.

  • Conduct training for Administrators and Assistant Chief Administrators as needed.

  • Ensure Associate Relation functions and responsibilities are being carried out, including Kronos, disciplinary actions, department meetings, interviewing potential associates, and maintaining good department morale.

  • Ensure proper department workload balancing.

  • Responsible for overall forecasting and releasing methods to suppliers.

  • Manage overall company QAD activity, including system processes and auto ordering.

  • Oversee Inventory Control activities such as cycle counting, physical inventories, month-end inventory levels, and troubleshooting variances.

  • Ensure Supplier Delivery performance is up to standards.

  • Handle logistics delivery and Customs/CTPAT compliance.

  • Enforce PPC data maintenance of the Design Change Database.

  • Support other departments on part-related issues.

  • Ensure timely transfer and transition of new model activity from NM to MP Buyers.

  • Ensure timely completion of build-out related activities to avoid excess dead stock.

  • Ensure NM activity is on schedule for tooling, master plans, and material delivery.

  • Maintain daily filing, email correspondence, and phone calls.

  • Maintain a clean work area in accordance with 5S principles.

  • Provide international support as needed for New Model activities.

  • Ensure compliance with limited QMS/EMS audit tasks, Corporate Governance, and JSOX.

  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in supply chain management, planning, inventory management, and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates and management.

  • Self-motivation with good leadership and staff development skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and people skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry working with ERP systems.

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Self-motivation with good leadership and staff development skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and people skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and delegate.
