Actalent Chief Maintenance Engineer in Reynoldsburg, Ohio
Description:
The Chief Engineer oversees the entire engineering department, leading a team to complete various projects. In this role, you’ll collaborate with other engineers and technicians, approving designs, calculating costs, negotiating contracts, and executing plans safely and efficiently. Additionally, you’ll support engineering projects throughout the facility.
Essential Functions:
• Team Leadership: Communicate the company’s goals to all engineers and professionals in the team.
• Project Supervision: Oversee every phase of projects from start to completion.
• Resource Management: Calculate costs, material requirements, labor, and time for each project.
• Design Approval: Approve designs and budgets.
• Task Delegation: Delegate tasks to engineering teams.
• Training and Equipment: Supervise staff training and equipment installation.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on all systems and products.
• Conflict Resolution: Quickly resolve disputes between staff.
• Recognition: Acknowledge and reward good work.
• Reporting: Analyze data and draft reports for review

Troubleshooting, Hydraulics, pneumatics, Corrective maintenance, supervisory skills, manufacturing operations, conveyor system, robotic welding, robotics, plc troubleshooting, fanuc robotics, boiler system
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVEs
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
4+ years experience with Mix of welding robots (Fanuc), pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, boiler systems.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs
Experience in planning & directing day to day maintenance responsibilities
