Google Technical Program Manager III, Cloud Solutions Architecture, Google Public Sector in Reston, Virginia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • 5 years of experience advising enterprise or government customers in cloud solutions architecture, technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.

  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Networking, and Kubernetes Engine.

  • Experience supporting at-scale deployments, migrations, modernizations, or transformations to public Cloud providers.

  • Experience designing and promoting cloud computing architectures to large and complex government organizations.

  • Understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM).

  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) models, as well as familiarity with distributed systems and scalability.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Managerworking with public sector clients you will drive the adoption and successful implementation of cloud technologies for public sector clients. You will act as a trusted advisor to public sector clients such as federal and state government agencies, including the department of defense and intelligence community.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead the strategic engagement, technical architecture, and program management of large, multi-functional Google Cloud Professional Services projects with strategic customers.

  • Provide architectural excellence, embedded within a client's technical team to ensure project success from concept to completion.

  • Engage Google Cloud engineering resources to manage risks, issues, and actions for customers, and track them regularly to meet the expected outcomes and timelines.

  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution.

  • Collaborate with key/executive stakeholders to design clear comprehensive product and strategic roadmaps.
