Job Summary

Responsible for providing sales leadership of a public sector U.S. Federal Government sales channel to ensure consistent revenue streams, profitability and an accelerated level of success. Lead the development and execution of a short and long-term sales strategy in the sales channel. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution for how to secure, manage and grow contracts with a specific set of government agencies through managing a team of individual contributing account managers, as defined by a specific account module.

  • Ensure high levels of support to the federal customer as it relates to pre-sales, technical support, capture/proposal management, program management, post-sale support, marketing, contract and security management.

  • Lead the qualification of sales opportunities and determines optimal sales approach.

  • Evaluate procurement options available to customer and serves as the voice of the customer.

  • Ensure appropriate resources to achieve financial and business objectives.

  • Develop an annual operating budget for specific accounts within the federal module of responsibility.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives including ensuring appropriate tools are available to assist with sales activities and action steps to follow in the sales campaign.

  • Lead training standards and certifications. Work with team to ensure excellence with every customer contact. Lead performance and development of government sales team.

  • Monitor competitor activity in the marketplace by conducting benchmarking activities.

  • Lead successful implementation of advertising and promotional activities.

  • Develop an annual workforce and training plan to help realize appropriate talent levels to realize sales and organizational objectives.

  • Make presentations to and negotiates with executive level customers.

  • Lead team to achieve and exceed all sales quotas and targets. Oversee incentives and other programs necessary to achieve success.

  • Define and recommend new products and services for market opportunities.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
