SENIOR CLOUD CYBER ENGINEER

LOCATION: DMV

CLEARANCE LEVEL: N/A - MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR TS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting a large federal government agency that is in the process of implementing an innovate strategy to modernize its global network and enterprise services to achieve the following objectives:
  • Enable a cloud broker/service platform that allows flexibility to expand to new cloud service offerings
  • Empower customers to leverage cloud services while conforming to standards, best practices, and required security controls
  • Streamline user access to resources and information from multiple devices anywhere in the world
  • Provide cloud cyber security engineering support to develop cloud Common Control Provider (CCP) model, under Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Assist the customer in achieving an Interim Authority to Test (IATT) for the Top Secret domain.
  • Implement the CCP model and assist with migration to cloud environments.
  • Design solutions that ensure maximum flexibility and scalability, while meeting all required security controls.
  • Support the development of all required documentation necessary to support the engineering, security and operational processes.
  • Perform business and technical alternative analysis for any/all aspects of the solution, aiding the customer is making decisions along the way.
  • Facilitate the transition of the solution to operations, initially and ongoing - ensuring at all times the system is operating within the anticipated operating boundaries.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics OR
  • Ten years of experience in information assurance and cyber security related fields.
  • Three years within the past five years of demonstrated experience conducting security evaluations for systems and applications; publishing RMF Body of Evidence(s) (BOE), supporting security control assessment validation activities, and successfully achieving Authority to Operate (ATO) for referenced U.S. government systems.
  • One year within the past three years of experience creating and implementing a Continuous Monitoring plan IAW NIST 800-53.
  • One year within the past three years of experience designing and implementing security solutions in a multi-tenant Windows and Linux environment on commercial cloud service providers (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure).
  • IAT or IAM Level III Certification (within 60 days of hire) Qualifying certifications include current CISSP, CASP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, GSLC.
  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale solutions, most of which that have advanced to the production state.
  • Strong grasp of cloud computing SaaS, PaaS and IaaS fundamentals with experience designing and implementing solutions.
  • AWS Certification or Azure Cloud Architect Certification (or desire to obtain certification for junior level candidates).
