Role Summary:

Enabling a premium digital experience for customer’s throughout their ownership journey with Audi and the ability to purchase Audi vehicles and products will be key for the future success of our organization

This role will focus on the creation of benchmark digital ownership experiences within the myAudi web and mobile app platforms, specifically for the After Sales part of the customer journey.  Customer expectations constantly evolve for a number of reasons, therefore normalizing the use of digital tools and heightening customer expectations. As we risk growing a gap between our online and offline world, there is a critical need for Audi to create a premium customer journey, ensuring the seamless integration of the digital and analog worlds, delivering a high level of emotional engagement. 

The Product Owner will be the owner of and responsible for digital customer facing After Sales experiences for Audi across US and CA. Our website will become the doorway into the world of Audi, a key milestone in the customer’s journey and a polished, personalized interface to connect to the brand. Providing seamless ownership experiences across the breadth of Audi products that support and enable dealers to sell more products is key. Responsible for developing the roadmap, leading the agency work groups and development teams and managing the execution of the deliverables as outlined by the business. 

Steering the digital development of our key customer ownership platforms is critical for this role. Working together with myAudi Project Manager and the cross functional teams, in line with the project portfolio team, as well as the steering of different parties and vendors, will be required to define and successfully implement the road map.

Role Responsibilities: 

Product Ownership: 70%

  • Drive development to deliver the myAudi After Sales strategy, for both desktop and mobile website enabling a premium purchase experience   
  • Engage and inform management and stakeholders of developments
  • Manage timelines, budgets and quality of defined projects together with the Project Manager, Audi AG, the cross functional team, agencies and Audi leadership
  • Transforming the digital experience into a personalized ownership experience by taking a customer centric perspective
  • Steer cross-functional teams and define the needs of the After Sales experience and find solutions with the IT department (backend systems and data integration)
  • Support procurement and budgeting tasks
  • Manage and steer the digital agency in terms of output, timeline and budget

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 30%

  • Help gather user input and market trends to define product requirements
  • Work within an Agile compliant framework and collaborate with partners/business owners to convert strategy and priorities into tangible business requirements, prototypes, design concepts, and feasible product roadmaps
  • Understanding business implications of decisions in order to align work with strategic goals
  • Review customer satisfaction results; recommends, designs, and implements personal and business unit action plans
  • Review, analyze and prioritize Voice of the Customer feedback to incorporate in user stories
  • Guide development teams to produce creative solutions that deliver results by connecting them to the business teams and product vision
  • Organize interdepartmental activities to ensure completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget
  • Facilitate interdepartmental product owner meetings to enable sharing of agile best practices and peer coaching opportunities



Qualifications



Qualifications:

Years of Experience: 

  • 7 – 9 years experience in web and mobile digital development, with an emphasis in scrum and/or agile product ownership roles

Education-Required:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering 

Education-Desired:

  • Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering 

Skills: 

  • Blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytic reasoning, a deep knowledge of human-centered design, a love of data, and an interest in the auto industry
  • Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems, and proven ability to prioritize high leverage opportunities to deliver to market.
  • A bias to action and a proven track record of delivering both minimum viable products and scaled solutions within a matrixed organization to market at rapid speed
  • Ability to guide matrixed partner teams as well as collaborate across brands and organization.
  • Ability to empower designers and developers to deliver great products
  • Comfortable working autonomously with strong focus on execution and driving project deadlines to completion
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data and qualitative insights to create exceptional digital experiences

Specialized Skills - Required:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the latest web and mobile product technologies and user experience best practices
  • Success in developing strong working relationships across many layers of an organization, outside agencies and suppliers
  • Comfortable working with tight deadlines; must be proactive and able to multi-task.

Specialized Skills - Desired: 

  • Experience managing the digital product development and delivery of direct to consumer web or mobile applications
  • Deep understanding of user-centered product development practices
  • Knowledge and practice of core principals of Agile methodology and development practices including Scrum, Kanban, Lean software development, etc.
  • Familiarity and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for product user stories and agile development

Work Flexibility:

Travel 20% of the time
