SAIC Deputy Program Manager in RESTON, Virginia
Description

SAIC is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) with significant experience in operations and maintenance for large-scale enterprise programs providing the necessary leadership and expertise to assist with the management of a complex program delivering IT services, custom development, data architecture, cloud engineering, customer relationship management, service desk, integrated operations, service level management, and systems administration. The DPM will support the Program Manager in the execution of all aspects of program delivery, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and alignment with all contractual obligations and ensuring efforts of cross-competency teams, to include contractors at multiple locations, are being performed according to plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Program Manager in overseeing the program’s operational performance, focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Ensure sufficient qualified staffing to achieve timely and successful completion of the efforts of program requirements
Be the alternate contact for the Sponsor’s COTR/GTM for contract, cost, schedule, and performance
Lead the O&M teams, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages efficiency and excellence
Act as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and addressing concerns in a timely manner
Support the PM with coordinating all program management reviews with the Sponsor to discuss contract performance, special topics of interest, and issue resolutions
Step in for the Program Manager as needed and be prepared to take on full responsibilities in their absence
Monitor the program’s financial performance, assisting with budget development, cost management, and financial reporting
Implement risk management strategies, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation plans
Ensure compliance with customer guidelines and established frameworks, as well as contractual requirements
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure resources and equipment are available and allocated appropriately for maintenance tasks
Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of staff and ensure that the team meets the technical competencies required for the program
Provide reports and updates to senior management on program status, KPIs, and any critical issues
Qualifications
Required:
TS/SCI with Polygraphclearance
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
Minimum of five (10) years of experience supporting complex, large Enterprise IT programs that include Service Delivery, Data Architecture, Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, Service Desk, NOC/SOC, Cyber Security, Infrastructure/ Platform support, Systems Engineering, and Systems Administration
An active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional
Desired:
Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, business management or other related field
Experience utilizing AGILE development methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management
One of the following AWS Certifications:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate)
