Navopache Electric Cooperative Journeyman Lineman in Reserve, New Mexico
RE: JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN JOB OPENING - RESERVE, NM
There is presently a position open for a Journeyman Lineman in the Reserve, New Mexico office.
This position is under the supervision of the Area Service Rep. The successful applicant shall perform all phases of line and sub-station construction, operation, maintenance and service work in accordance with Navopache Electric Cooperative standards and/or other governmental rules and regulations.
To be eligible for this opening, the person bidding must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have completed a formal four (4) year Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship program.
- A thorough knowledge of all line materials, assemblies, equipment and apparatus, as well as standard RUS specifications is required.
- A thorough knowledge of hot line preventative maintenance work is required.
- Mechanical aptitude, training or experience preferred.
- Good physical condition is required.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable safety rules, regulations and practices is required.
- Have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Drivers license within 30 days of employment.
- Successful applicant must live within a 30 mile radius ofreporting office.
The rate of pay will be $49.88 per hour.
