Your Role and Responsibilities
The intersection of supply chain and sustainability is an increasingly critical area in partnerships and business.. The Supply Chain and Analytics Leader will lead this function from the Chief Sustainability Office (CSO), working hand-in-hand with our Procurement team to articulate a more holistic strategy to strengthen our supplier relationships by embedding sustainability in our partnership and business discussions - and addressing both risks and opportunities together.
The individual in this role is expected to conduct intentional, strategic, and effective supplier engagement, driving mutually beneficial business and sustainability objectives and targets across our supply chain - all from a strongly data-focused lens. They will work closely with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and requires strategic thinking with a focus on leveraging IBM technology and analytics. They are responsible for:
Driving sustainability in business decisions and procurement factors
Partnership to ensure compliance with supply chain emissions, due diligence and responsible sourcing laws, in addition to product environmental compliance (Developing effective and efficient strategy with streamlined approach for assessing and acting on emerging laws and regulations; Conducting mapping and data analytics to execute on the strategy; Assessing IBM's supply chain impact and set IBM's strategy regarding business engagement, opportunities for engagement, and environmental risk and sustainability; In collaboration with procurement, creating a comprehensive sustainable procurement policy and establish requirements and objectives for suppliers with KPIs to measure and assess progress; Working with procurement to integrate sustainability criteria into the supplier selection and evaluation process
Creating business opportunities or ties to business opportunities that bring in the sustainability agenda
Monitoring emerging laws and regulations pertaining to supply chain due diligence (understand broader landscape for outlook/planning) for advocacy efforts and to ensure IBM sustainable procurement programs and practices are appropriate to comply with relevant laws and regulations
Leveraging tools/technologies including Client Zero objectives (IBM tools for driving and tracking performance in our supply base); be super user of tools to understand supply chain sustainability impacts, risks, opportunities; and develop strategies to mitigate/address
Driving innovation in sustainable procurement by identifying new opportunities for improvement and promoting best practices
Attending Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with supply chain and procurement
Experience identifying, assessing, and executing on business and partnership opportunities
Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking using data (i.e., finding the data sources and owners, deriving the right insights / creating the right dashboards, and actioning those)
Extremely collaborative in nature, able to identify and work across a diverse set of stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to a broad range of audiences
Highly organized with strong project management and problem-solving skills; ability to handle concurrent priorities and make sound recommendations to senior management
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Sustainability technical expertise (e.g., GHG scoped emissions, value creation)
Experience and technical skills using various databases, IT apps; ability and strong drive to learn and develop new relevant software skills (e.g., automation and AI)

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
