Description We are currently offering remote work from one of our footprint states which are inclusive of AK, WA, OR, MT, CA and or TX Providence is seeking a Manager Clinical Informatics - Education and Adoption PSJH: As a member of the Providence St. Joseph Health Clinical Informatics management team, the Manager, Clinical Informatics Education and Adoption is responsible for supporting PSJH CI education goals for EHR and other information systems deployment, sustainment, adoption, and optimization activities. This leader combines knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, training, communication, project management, and healthcare informatics, to provide direction, leadership, and coaching to teams responsible for the design, development, publication, and maintenance of change communication and learning deliverables with the goal of promoting safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical and business settings. Partnering with co-managers, this role leads cross-team bodies of work as assigned such as training environment management, project resourcing, Credential Trainer programs, change communication and learning deliverable standards, publishing and maintenance, publication platform management, and education evaluation. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes a multidisciplinary team concept and reflects the Providence St. Joseph Health mission, vision, values, and philosophy. In this position you will have the following responsibilities: Strategy Development, Alignment, and Collaboration: In collaboration with PSJH informatics and clinical leaders, helps to define and manage a EHR training and adoption program that supports EHR adoption and utilization of technology as intended, enhances the current clinical record, increases physician and clinician satisfaction, and improves the patient experience and clinical outcomes. Works collaboratively with other CI Education team members, Clinical and Business informatics team members, Regional trainers and operational stakeholders to identify the learning needs of target audiences, develop and validate training strategies to address the needs. Identifies opportunities to use new technologies and best practices to improve training design and delivery and supports team members in adoption of these technology and practices. Develops and implements standardized processes for the design, development, publication of change communication and learning deliverables. Management and Leadership: Oversees the development of change communication and curriculum design and development standards, processes, and templates to ensure consistency in the approach across projects and alignment with CI team objectives. Collaborates with CI teams to identify educational opportunities. Ensures training programs include post training evaluations that can be used to measure the effectiveness of the new or changed curriculum. Provides leadership in supporting team processes to address updates and improvements to deliverables maintaining the primary goal of enterprise standard content. Supports enhancement of team member expertise to maintain/develop knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes which promote excellence and productive team-orientated performance. Promotes and encourages positive team problem solving to empower employees to act effectively to cause change. Ensure projects are set up for successful execution. Monitors status of the projects and ensures adherence to timelines. Collaborates with education leadership team to provide clear and adequate communication of programs to other CI system program and regional teams and stakeholders.
