Job Summary:

The Application Analyst Sr. position leads the support, configuration, testing, and implementation of administrative, financial and clinical information applications from various vendors in order to support the goals and mission of PHP. The Application Analyst Sr. is a senior role that will possess extensive experience supporting various vendor provided applications/solutions. They will work closely with all departments to determine if vendor applications/solutions can be configured to meet business objectives and to provide issue resolution. They will provide key support between PHP employees, IS and application/system vendors. This position requires ability to gather and document business requirements based on operational needs and ability to trouble shoot and audit configuration while following change control processes. The Application Analyst Sr. provides mentoring for others on the team and PHP employees. They will also provide project management for initiatives as assigned. The Application Analyst Sr. is able to work independently without close supervision and exercises independent judgment and discretion.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Requirments:

  • Bachelor degree and six years in a related application/technical field OR Associate degree and eight years in a related application/technical field OR ten years of industry related application/technical experience.

  • Minimum of four years’ experience directly responsible for supporting at least five different core Vendor application solutions.

  • Strong experience supporting a vendor’s health insurance administration solution which provides benefit management, claims adjudication/payments, premium billing and other core functions is highly preferred.

  • Strong experience as an analyst supporting the QNXT solution from TriZetto is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with a Healthcare Insurance company is preferred.

  • Six years of IT technical/application support.

  • Good organization skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities in a rapidly changing environment

  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams through major system selections, implementations, upgrades and day to day maintenance. Good project management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization.

  • Analytical skills related to solving complex procedural problems in time-critical situations, particularly where relations must be maintained in sensitive situations.

  • Demonstrated understanding from a systems level perspective the interdependence of one unit or system upon another, and how changes in any one part affect all others.

  • Proven experience in sound decision making concerning systems support services in situations of time, pressure and stress are essential.

  • Demonstrated ability and professional concern for bringing together knowledge of operations and information needs of users.

  • Ability to deal effectively with multiple constituencies and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to diverse groups.

  • Ability to operate effectively in an environment of limited direction.
