IGT is seeking a Fabricator II to support our product development initiatives for electronic gaming machines. In this role, you will produce prototype parts and assemblies, with a focus on fabricating sheet metal machine chassis and related components. Working from engineering CAD files, drawings, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions, you’ll play a crucial role in fast-paced projects. You’ll collaborate closely with internal engineering and production teams to ensure design feasibility and provide rapid solutions for line down issues, ensuring timely and efficient support for our development projects.

  • Fabricate sheet metal machine chassis and related components, primarily using AMADA laser cutting machines and press brakes.

  • Plan sequence of fabrication operations after receiving CAD files, blueprints, drawings, sketches, work orders, or verbal and written instructions.

  • Follow and adhere to established fabrication procedures to ensure consistency and quality in production.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain shop machinery and tools.

  • Fit, cut, and weld together parts, using jigs, welding equipment, and hand tools.

  • Inspects chassis and fabricated parts.

  • Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications.

  • Support and troubleshoot sheet metal fabrication assignments, projects, and operating processes.

  • Work on multiple related fabrication tasks simultaneously.

  • Provide production and quality rework support as required.

  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflows.

  • Adhere and maintain all safety rules and procedures.

  • Escalate technical issues and workflow disruptions to senior personnel for timely resolution.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of experience in machine shop or fabrication shop.

  • Familiar with common sheet metal fabrication equipment, such as Amada Laser, press brakes, and shears.

  • Proficient in machine and tool setup, operation, and maintenance.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and execute production instructions.

  • Understanding of the department’s organization, processes, equipment, and tools.

  • Capable of lifting and maneuvering a minimum of 30 pounds safely.

  • Familiarity with ISO 2001 and related industry standards.

  • Effective at working collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Basic knowledge and skills with:

  • Fabrication equipment including plate rollers, flame cutters, punches, drill presses, and pneumatic hand tools.

  • Measuring devices such as tape, scales, framing and combination squares, dial/digital calipers, and gauges.

  • Mig & Tig welding machines.

  • Hand and power tools including hammers, turnbuckles, pry bars, clamps, bevellers, grinders, levels, and riveters.

  • Warehouse material handling equipment including forklifts.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $22/hr - $25/hr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
