SAIC Upcoming USPTO PBCMS Opportunity in REMOTE WORK, Virginia
Description
Make a difference for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) by joining a team of dedicated professionals who will provide Agile Development, Modernization, Enhancement (DME) and Operations and Maintenance support for Patents Product Line, Patent Business Content Management System product. All positions are expected to be primarily or fully remote and must be performed in the United States.
Our Agile DevSecOps teams should have experience with the following technologies including, but not limited to,
Experience in designing, developing and deploying enterprise-grade applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Experience in performing code development in languages and technologies, including but not limited to Java Spring, NodeJS Typescript, Python, Terraform, Docker Containers, Wildfly JBoss, GitLab-CI Pipeline.
Experience in building CICD pipelines and integrating security best practices at every process stage.
Experience with cybersecurity process in order to attain and renew ATO. Understanding of common application and infrastructure security vulnerabilities and risks, as well as counter measures and compensating controls and integration with OKTA.
Experience in designing, developing and deploying microservice architecture.
Experience in system observability tools such as Instana and Splunk.
Experience with performance/load testing and performance observability/monitoring and in production. Accuracy, scalability, timely detection of issues and serviceability are key attributes USPTO seeks to improve availability and maximize runtime.
Experience in AWS capacity planning to help forecast future usage and performance requirements for systems, and plan capacity to meet those needs with due consideration for cost estimate.
Must have practical exposure to AWS services, including but not limited to S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, ECS, ELB, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, MySQL.
Experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on physical and virtual servers running under operating systems including, but not limited to Rocky Linux.
Expert knowledge of PDF document format and structure, experienced with PDF to JPEG, TIFF image conversion as a service, and PDF creation from various document formats.
Extensive hands on experience in designing and developing enterprise Java applications.
Extensive hands-on experience with developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and CICD pipeline using GitLab-CI.
Must understand Git flow and peer-programming principles.
Test lead must have experience with automation test tools including but not limited to Cypress, Selenium, Rest Assured, Ready Api, Katalan Studio.
Agile lead must be able execute Scrum and Kanban styles of Agile methodologies.17.Conducting and documenting user research activities in support of web development (e.g., facilitating and conducting focus groups, gathering and prioritizing business requirements, developing user stories, task lists, workflow diagrams, personas, scenarios and detailed use cases).

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Required for all roles
Required experience will vary based on role and level. A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience required for all positions
Must be able to obtain a public trust through the USPTO
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
