SAIC Automation Engineer in REMOTE WORK, Alabama
Description
SAIC is looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team supporting our customer the US Army CORPs of Engineers (USACE) – Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program.
This position will be part of the Enterprise Engineering Team that encompasses the engineering and technical support services required to research, design, model, test, pilot, and implement the systems and infrastructure required to deliver voice, video, network, compute, and data services for the USACE Enterprise.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide support for the configuration, deployment, integration, and sustainment of infrastructure automation and DevSecOps services utilizing Ansible and GitLab in the USACE Enterprise Environment.
Tasked to support software patch/update/upgrade evaluation and deployment for these two products as well as support of their configuration within the datacenters.
Champion the integration of these products into the automation and development processes of other organizations within USACE.
Tasked to develop and support container orchestration for the USACE environment.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; four (4) years or more experience.
Required Security Clearance:
- DOD Secret Clearance Required to begin, an interim Secret is acceptable to start work.
Required Skills:
Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Ansible and Gitlab
Experience preparing technical documentation
Advanced knowledge of one or more operating systems such as Linux, Windows, or AIX
Container orchestration experience - Kubernetes, OpenShift
Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product
Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives
Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security Plus Certification is required to begin work
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
