Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

+ + Responsible for overseeing the V2X benefit program to include tasks in the administration of all employee benefit plans, medical evacuations, analyze, implement, review and audit benefit plans, benefit website and payroll deductions. Work closely with the field benefit, payroll and HR teammates, plan administrators, broker, carriers, and system programmers. Create and provide training on various benefit related topics to the HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

+ + Core Areas of Expertise:

  • Provide customer service support to employees and teams to enhance their understanding of the company's benefit offerings/package.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all benefit communication regarding new hire enrollments, dependent verification, transfers, terms, medical evacuation and leave of absence handbooks and open enrollment.

  • Research, analyze and develop materials for reference and training:

  • a) Individual Operating Procedures (IOP’s)/Work Station Manuals for each position in the Benefits Department;

  • b) Benefit’s Field Training Manual (Infinium and NBA instructions, P&SP’s and standard Benefit Administrator IOP’s);

  • c) Policy and Standard Practices (P&SP’s);

  • d) Highlight Brochures, benefit and legislative updates, and employee communications.

  • Monitor, research, and facilitate all aspects of premium collection or adjustments for payroll deductions.

  • Responsible for training all benefits administrators on benefit deduction adjustment process.

  • Point for elevated benefit inquiries and HRIS questions from field HR / benefit personnel.

  • Medical invoicing.

  • Responsible for maintaining and set-up for the company leave of absence portal to include service tickets, design, workflows, creating and maintaining tables and templates both in HRIS and leave portal system.

  • Provides leave and benefit information, to include communication timelines and documentation, to the Legal department.

  • Work closely with benefits broker, insurance carriers and account managers to maintain good working processes.

  • Work with employees in assisting with escalated insurance and/or benefit inquiries and concerns.

  • Assist in determining cost structure set-up for benefit premiums.

  • Assist in periodic carrier reviews and provide input / insight regarding insurance plan renewals and/or modifications.

  • Assist with setup of new benefit groups, accruals and deductions.

  • New contract coordination for information set up of benefit groups, deduction and income codes, accruals) to include Benefit enrollment site (eligibility, benefit groups, deduction codes, 401(k) allocations, and brochure development).

  • Contract phase-out actions to include coordinating final deduction timing, billing, transferring (if applicable), COBRA notification etc.

  • Responsible for staying current on compliance issues and regulations (HIPAA, COBRA, USERRA, ADA, etc.)

  • Assist with auditing when needed.

  • Serve as backup to the Senior Benefits Manager pertaining to benefit deduction import or exports.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

+ + Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of six (6) years' experience administering employee benefit plans.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance regulations, plan designs and third-party record keeping/administration.

  • Strong knowledge COBRA, HIPAA, ADA, and related US federal regulations that apply overseas.

  • Other Requirements:

  • United States citizenship required.

  • Willing to advise and/or direct activities where needed internally and with medical insurance carrier, and/or DBA insurance carrier pertaining to Medivac evaluations/situations after hours.

Desired Qualifications

+ + Experience:

  • Federal Government contracting experience desired.

  • Experience with billing, payroll deductions, reconciliation, and paid time off (PTO) set up preferred.

  • Experience with UKG and UTA preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of the theory, procedures, and practices of benefits administration.

  • Researches and presents as a subject matter expert (SME) to program leadership regarding host country labor laws.

  • Able to confidently advise and direct both internal teammates and third parties on high level decisions that are based in contracted benefit plan provisions, and/or company policy.

  • Demonstrates the highest degree of safeguarding confidential, sensitive, business, and employee data.

  • Business Partner/Effective Communicator:

  • Strong communicator, both orally and in writing with ability to articulate complex issues concisely.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Well-organized with an attention to detail.

  • Work quickly and efficiently; remain flexible to shifting of priorities. May work under time pressures.

  • Microsoft Office 365 suite, including SharePoint

  • Familiarity with HRIS and benefit/case management related systems.

  • Technology:

  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.

Team Management:

+ + No direct reports, but several indirect reports. This position has oversight and training responsibility for policies and processes conducted by field HR personnel.

  • The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

  • The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.

  • USD $ 70,000 - $115,000

  • Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
