Position Overview

As a Sales Leadership Training and Performance Coach, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a high-performance sales culture within our organization. In this role, you will blend your sales and leadership expertise with your passion for developing other to empower and elevate the performance of our sales leaders by delivering targeted sales leader training programs, providing small group and 1:1 coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Knowledge and Application:

  • Conduct group training sessions with Sales Directors to enhance overall sales team performance.

  • Implement training programs focused on sales and leadership methodologies, tools & technologies, product knowledge, and sales execution strategies.

  • Conduct small group and 1:1 coaching sessions with sales leaders as assigned.

  • Reinforce strategies that align to individual performance goals and make recommendations for performance improvement.

  • Demonstrate strong facilitation and presentation skills to engage and challenge Sales Directors, transfer knowledge, and build their coaching and leadership skills.

  • Track assigned leader performance metrics and key performance indicators during coaching period.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of Paylocity sales process, tech stack, products, KPIs and all items relevant to the role of a Sales Director.

Complexity and Problem Solving:

  • Operate in a matrixed leadership structure with multi stakeholders and collaborative problem solving.

  • Identify trends, areas for improvement, and individual/team achievements based on performance analysis.

  • Implement motivational strategies to inspire the sales leader to reach and exceed targets.

  • Use feedback from cross-functional team members to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Discretion and Impact:

  • Provide guidance on how to learn, model, and coach best practices in areas such as sales process execution, time management, tech stack utilization, and performance improvement.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team.

  • Provide regular feedback and performance assessments.

  • Boost team morale through positive reinforcement and recognition of achievements.

Collaboration and Interaction:

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance the overall effectiveness of the sales team.

  • Partner with L&D Sales Design, L&D leaders, and Sales Enablement as a SME for content and curriculum development.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of the learning experience and enablement tools by offering relevant scenarios, case studies, and best practices identified working with sales leaders.

  • Monitor leader progress towards goals and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

  • Share relevant information with the sales team to keep them informed and adaptable.

  • Develop and maintain a network of Sales Leadership partnerships to identify key performance and skills/knowledge gaps to architect innovative learning and performance solutions.

Management and Supervision :

  • Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Coaches, counsels, and develops Paylocity sales leaders towards accelerated performance results.

  • Follows through to create accountability and observable behavior change and business results.

Education and Experience:

  • 12+ years of demonstrated success in HCM sales, sales coaching, or sales training required.

  • 2+ years success in Sales Leadership managing others required.

  • Advanced knowledge of/experience in applying learning theories, needs analysis, learning strategy, and principles including adult learning theory.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $118,000- $190,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here (https://rise.articulate.com/share/NWT-xukAz2nsMapN3L3TSRXfxzBGrFh_#/) .
