Responsibilities

The National Director of Rehabilitation Services Operations (Outpatient) works closely with a variety of stakeholders in internal and external relationships. This position requires ongoing dialogue and collaboration with Ascension Ministry/Market operational and clinical leaders to leverage rehabilitation services contribution to key performance objectives and outcomes. The National Director identifies opportunities for standardization and benchmarking analysis of rehabilitation services across Ascension markets and facilities. Please note this position is Remote with approximately 40% national travel required.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop and oversee implementation of strategic initiatives, goals and objectives while identifying optimization, standardization and growth opportunities for rehabilitation services.

  • Provide leadership and direction enterprise-wide for rehabilitation services among the Ascension Living portfolio and other Ascension entities.

  • Act as liaison on behalf of Ascension with external partners to build and maintain positive/productive strategic relationships to support rehabilitation direction and needs of patients.

  • Monitor the utilization of resources and outcomes. Participate in performance improvement activities.

  • Maximize margin by creating an efficient operating model. Prepare operating and capital expenditure budgets in partnership with ministry markets. Ensure compliance and monitor capital spend. Evaluate existing management agreements.

  • Develop, refine, and evaluate quality/performance metrics and reporting mechanisms.

  • Collaborate with market leadership for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred

  • 7+ years experience in multi-state, multi-facility operations of rehabilitation services

  • 5+ years of leadership / operations experience with in-house and contracted rehabilitation services management

  • Administrative operational experience
