Where the Chemistry Happens...

BASF's Care Chemical’s business is seeking a strong professional like you with demonstrated experience in sales or sales related activities to perform the role of a Global Key Accounts Manager. In this role, you will focus on large strategic accounts within the Personal Care organization, with significant global account coordination and collaboration. You will play a key role in leading the strategic planning process and growth plan for selected strategic accounts.

The position is an ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate your ability to develop and implement business strategies in a diverse business environment. You will be expected to be the main communicator to these customers on a global/regional basis.

Incumbent should preferably be located on the East Coast (NY or NJ).

As a Global Key Accounts Manager, you create chemistry by...

  • Leading the Key Account strategic planning process including the generation, implementation, and execution of the strategic account plan to deliver above market growth.

  • Leading cross functional teams to support your accounts, leveraging and managing available resources to work with customers for business development.

  • Interfacing with technical and commercial representatives of targeted customers with frequent face-to-face interactions with customers, promoting our offerings and surpassing competition.

  • Determining customer needs (known and unmet), offering solutions which retain and grow business.

  • Identifying business opportunities and developing appropriate strategies and relationships, delivering sales results within a diverse and challenging business climate; promoting Care Chemicals portfolio of solutions and products

  • Serving as the focal point for customer knowledge, driving regional and global relationships across levels and functions, serving as the key contact for problem escalation and customer resolution

Your formula for success…

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or related field.

  • Experience in Key Account Management, technical sales, personal care formulation experience or related customer facing experience

  • Proven leadership skills.

  • Strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to identify business opportunities

  • Strong customer focus and negotiation skills.

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
