Schedule: M-F; 35 hours
This role is endowed/subsidized through June 2025, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.

Position Overview:
Vibrant Emotional Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Product Management to join our team. This player-coach role involves both individual contribution and leadership/management responsibilities as the team is built, and the candidate should be comfortable and experienced in both. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in products that include data visualization and workflow improvement elements, has experience with Salesforce / CRM tools, web products, and has experience working closely with data and analytics teams. The director should also have experience with agile methodologies, including agile implementation and agile transformation.
The director will have IC responsibilities and lead and build a small team of internal and external resources, driving product innovation and ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives. The director will primarily be building products that support crisis center counselors and leadership with their operations, and should have a deep interest and passion for this space.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Product Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with organizational goals.
Prioritize product initiatives based on customer needs, data insights, and business impact.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and guide product decisions.
Team Management and Development:
Help build, lead, and mentor a small team of internal and external product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Provide guidance and support to product managers, assisting in their professional development and growth.
Conduct regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback.
Customer and Data-Centric Approach:
Advocate for a customer-centric approach, ensuring that product decisions are driven by customer needs and feedback.
Leverage data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure success.
Implement A/B testing and other data-driven methodologies to optimize product features and user experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
Facilitate communication and alignment between teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient product development process.
Present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Product Development and Execution:
Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch and beyond.
Ensure that product initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Identify and mitigate risks, and troubleshoot issues that arise during the product development lifecycle.
Implement agile methodologies, and help drive agile transformation / best practices across product pods.
Customer Focus and Feedback:
Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, using this information to drive product improvements and innovation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to enhance product adoption and success.
Conduct user testing and usability studies to gather feedback and improve the user experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong understanding of data analytics, A/B testing, and user experience (UX) testing methodologies.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for improving emotional health.
Strong agile and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
Required Qualifications:
8-10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing product managers.
Proven experience with products that include data visualization and productivity / workflow enhancement elements.
Experience working closely with engineering and data teams to deliver successful products.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product strategy, data-driven decision making, and customer-centric product development.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as computer printers and phones.
Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders.
