We currently have an immediate need for the following:

Job Title: Project Manager- Information Security Risk Management (ISRM)

Location:  Remote until virus restrictions are removed. Onsite in Lake County, Illinois after restrictions.

Compensation:  $76.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance.  Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $176,000.00

Position can be remote but candidate must be US based.  Working in US CST

  • This consulting the candidate will be assigned to the Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) Team at the client, driving projects within the client’s ISRM functions.

  • Experience in managing Information Security, Governance and Compliance projects, as this Project Manager may lead a variety of projects or workstreams (estimated 2 – 4 at any point in time) that may cross the following key areas and functions within the ISRM group:

  • PCI/Compliance/SOX

  • Data Security

  • Cyber Risk Management

  • ISRM Operations – communications, metrics, governance

  • Security Architecture

  • Security Hygiene

  • Incident Response

  • Threat Intelligence

    Responsibilities

  • Assist in strategic planning of application migrations (security architecture reviews, business impact assessments, security code review), including tracking project progress, meeting coordination, minutes, etc.

  • Assist with projects within the Compliance area, as we have several assessments that will require some level of security remediation for ISRM.

  • Create project plans, financial budgeting, and assist in working with various staff and vendors to implement the product(s).

  • Assist with “Phase 0” (aka “Discovery”) projects that are in need of assistance with gathering requirements in order to promote the effort into a full project.

  • Project Manager will lead and drive various security assessment projects, which will require the individual to be a strong leader, able to drive and hold teams accountable for tasks and schedules.

  • Creation of PowerPoint presentations, as well as commanding presentation skills will be expected for this role.

  • Experience with both Waterfall project management methodology, as well as experience with Agile/Scrum.

  • Candidate should be an experienced (12+ years required) Project Manager with project management experience in the ISRM space.

  • Strong project management skillset, highly organized individual, including proven ability to lead and drive project success.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, given the high potential for senior executive interactions and business strategic impact of the projects, as well as varying degrees of change management impact and project complexities.

  • Clarity PPM experience strongly preferred

  • Jira experience strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with Organization Change Management experience/knowledge strongly preferred

  • This individual will be expected to drive projects forward while focusing on budgetary requirements.

  • Contract to run from start date through 12/31/22.

    Expectations:

  • Develop, execute, and manage project(s) within the defined scope.

  • Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle, working with project sponsors/key stakeholders, team members, and management to oversee all phases of project completion.

  • Build and manage project’s work breakdown structure, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of the project.

  • Ensure transparent reporting of project status, issues, risks, and financials.

  • The individual will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Specific Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and Plan Project: Works with business, ISRM and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, financials, and deliverables.

  • Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect the project, working with business and IT management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.

  • Executing and Closing Project: Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Leads team in delivering project scope. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.

  • Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to project teams, business, and IT management. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues and manage risks.

  • Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities. Motivates project team to deliver project outcomes.

  • Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and functional policies and procedures.

  • Decisions: Make decisions that impact project level activities.
