Senior Application Developer, RPG-AS400 iSeries
What You Will Do:
Works with business stakeholders to define requirements.
Creates technical specifications from functional requirements.
Develops prototypes and programs.
Defines and executes unit and integration test scripts.
Follows coding standards and best practices.
Run knowledge transfer sessions with support teams.
Maintains clear communications on statuses, outcomes with stakeholders and managers.
Enhances and maintains existing business applications.
Independently install, customize, and integrate commercial software packages.
Work with experienced team members to conduct project planning, root cause analysis,
Review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
Identify ideas to improve system performance and ensure high system availability.
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
5+ year experience in software development in RPG IV, DB2/400, Visual-RPG
Experience with working on an AS400 iSeries ERP platform.
Knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS and Javascript desirable.
Experienced in the IBM iSeries environment
Moderate knowledge of manufacturing processes and ERP’s overall functionality.
Software Development Lifecycle management methodology (SureStep, AIM);
Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
Basic project management skills.
Minimal travel requirements
Experience in Macpac or Frontier ERP a plus!
