Job Description Summary

Provides expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to align project objectives and facilitate effective communication.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, addressing potential technical challenges.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, timelines, budgets, and status reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards and best practices, promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management within the semiconductor, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries, managing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) projects.

  • Technical Skills: Strong technical expertise in relevant systems and technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  • Enterprise Applications: Preferred experience in enterprise application design and development, particularly with SQL Server.

  • System Familiarity: Familiarity with Proficy iFIX, CIMPLICITY, HISTORIAN, PLANT APPLICATIONS, or similar systems is a plus.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and guide cross-functional teams towards project goals.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Project Management Certification: PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of semiconductor, chemical, and pharmaceutical industry standards, regulations, and best practices, particularly in production and quality control.

  • Team Collaboration: Strong team collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in multicultural environments and facilitating teamwork and communication.

  • Risk Management: Ability to identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.

  • Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to establish and maintain good relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

  • Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and methods to assess project performance and develop improvement plans.

  • Continuous Learning: A strong interest in new technologies and industry trends, with the ability to self-learn and apply them in project management.
