Edwards Lifesciences Developer, IT, Snowflake in Remote, Italy

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and modify moderately complex software code, ETL code, or web applications solutions.

  • Determine and design moderately complex system specifications, standards, and programming including preparing and installing solutions within the scope of architecture, quality, security policies.

  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating existing analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

  • Keep abreast of technical innovation by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on moderately complex issues.

  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of experience in the specific technologies and programming languages that will be used for development.

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Excellent SQL knowledge

  • Experience with writing SQL queries to extract data from Snowflake and perform data analysis and reporting tasks. This includes aggregations, joins, subqueries, and advanced SQL functions.

  • Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, control-M etc.

  • Knowledge in CI/CD pipeline, Gitlab, Jenkins etc.

  • Experience with Snowflake concepts such as time travel, secure views, streams, tasks

  • Familiar with a programming language ex: Python, JavaScript etc.

  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, organized and information seeking skills.

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills.

  • Moderate knowledge and understanding of computer science fundamentals.

  • Good troubleshooting/debugging skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals.

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the organization on specific projects.

  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships.

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
