Bentley Systems Employee Relations Manager in Remote, Ireland

Location: Dublin, Ireland preferred. Office, home, or hybrid work available.

Bentley is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our skilled Colleague Relations Success team. As ER Manager, you will implement best practices, and drive efficiencies across HR processes. You will have the opportunity to work with talented colleagues and senior leaders throughout our entire organization and partner with the corporate centers of excellence to drive global functions such as talent management, compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, and analytics. You will coach & counsel managers and colleagues on matters relating to performance management, exit & termination management, conduct internal investigations.

The responsibilities cross all functions within HR, including but not limited to employment, compliance, talent management, compensation, benefits administration, global mobility, talent systems and analytics, timekeeping, and terminations. Due to the variety and breadth of responsibilities, we are looking for a dynamic HR professional who can think critically, act strategically and apply knowledge to the topic at hand to resolve issues. Your Day-to-Day:

Empower colleagues to create their unique multi-dimensional success storied by enabling efficient and effective onboarding, colleague relations, talent management, and HR compliance, both as an individual and within a team of skilled HR professionals

  • Drive continuous improvement of regional HR processes & procedures, handbooks, various HR policies and rule books. Continuous review/ updates when essential. Knowledge sharing with the Global HR team so that others can refer the pattern/information. 

  • Collaborate with the Talent Advancement team members to deliver operational excellence enabling efficient and effective onboarding, off boarding, data management, data integrity and compliance. 

  • Mobility point of contact for the country – Host or Home country coordination. 

  • Leads transformation of strategic programs by providing highly efficient HR solutions, championing change, growing operational excellence, and focusing on tactical implementation. 

  • Demonstrate company values and behaviors every day. 

  • Partner with COEs to execute corporate programs including but not limited to Goal Setting, Performance – Feedback, Talent Review, Bentley NOW, facilitation of various trainings or initiatives like – leading a Cohort for training courses like 7 Habits etc. 

  • Performance management, coaching conversations, PIPs & PEPs. 

  • Managing audit, talent review steps, and reporting processes, including coordination between functions and groups internally and externally. 

  • Representing the company from HR side on labor arbitration. Working hand in hand with the legal team and HR Leadership team on such cases. Maintains expertise in legal requirements related to day-to-day management of colleagues, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. 

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement a Company-wide strategy and approach to align compliance requirements with employment practices and business objectives. Providing guidance to stakeholders when specific compliance issues arise. 

  • Work hand in hand with HR Shared Services team and HRBP team members. 

  • Proactively stays up to date on industry trends, constantly researching and recommending best practices to follow. 

  • Lead and support HR projects and other general ad hoc HR duties.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in a hands-on HR Generalist role; previous employee relations experience essential.

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and employment legislation for UK and Ireland (other EMEA countries would be highly advantageous).

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources Management, preferably in a multi-country or global environment.

  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives, prioritize assignments, and be comfortable with change and continuous improvement.

  • A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively as well as handle sensitive and confidential situations with care.

  • A desire to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
