PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $142,800.00-$174,400.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $111,000.00 - $206,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE :

As the Sr. Manager, Operations - MDX you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and strategic success across BECU’s Member & Digital Experience division. By leading the design, development, and execution of operational strategies, you’ll ensure that critical processes run smoothly, compliance is maintained, and resources are optimized to enhance the member experience. Your leadership will foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentorship, and collaboration with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. In this role, you will directly contribute to BECU’s operational success, ensuring the organization stays on track to meet its strategic objectives and exceed member expectations.

This role is eligible for remote work in WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, SC, GA.*

WHAT YOU’LL DO :

  • Develop Operational Strategies: You’ll design and implement operational strategies that align with BECU’s goals, ensuring technology, process improvements, vendor management, and risk mitigation plans are effectively integrated. You’ll ensure compliance and maintain the controls necessary to achieve business objectives.

  • Coach, Mentor, and Develop Your Team: Your role will involve ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations. You’ll help develop your team, encourage high performance, and foster growth by utilizing BECU’s competencies as a framework for success.

  • Manage Redundancy and Controls: You’ll develop and implement redundancy strategies and controls for critical processes, ensuring that BECU’s operations run smoothly and without interruption, even in the face of unforeseen challenges.

  • Lead Marketing Compliance: As a leader in Marketing Compliance, you’ll ensure that your division adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, such as UDAAP, ensuring the division’s compliance framework is robust and aligned with industry standards.

  • Support and Collaborate Across Teams: Your role requires you to work cross-functionally with multiple leaders across the organization. You’ll influence decisions that benefit the organization and enhance the member experience, driving continuous improvement.

  • Stay Current with Regulations: You’ll keep up-to-date with government regulations and industry requirements, ensuring that all changes are properly planned for and aligned with BECU’s operational needs. You will manage regulatory reporting, including CFPB reports on new products and features.

  • Manage Audits and Continuity Planning: You will be the division’s point of contact for audits, contingency planning, and business continuity. You’ll collaborate with division leaders on audit responses, business continuity plans, and other critical operational matters to ensure everything is up to date.

  • Ensure Quality and Process Integrity: You’ll oversee the review and quality control of Product Operations-related processes, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and compliant with BECU’s policies and procedures.

  • Communicate and Coordinate Operational Changes: You will ensure effective communication and coordination of operational changes, including updates that could impact day-to-day operations. You’ll make sure that compliance is consistently maintained.

  • Partner with Vendor Management: Work closely with Vendor Management and internal contract owners to support contract renewals. You will track contract end dates, engaging early with stakeholders to ensure smooth renewals and address any complexities.

  • Provide Operational Support: Your role will also involve providing broad operational support across the division, including taking on additional duties as needed to support the overall success of the team.

  • Report on Operational Performance: You’ll deliver monthly divisional updates, including compliance initiative status and Monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting, ensuring that leadership is informed of progress and any challenges that need to be addressed.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum three years of people leader experience.

  • Minimum five years of experience providing operational support for executives and business units.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Advanced degree.

  • Working knowledge of digital products, marketing functions and channel support.

  • Experience supporting line of business strategy and implementation support of initiatives.

  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, or similar methodologies, value stream mapping, evolving processes and delivering efficiencies at scale.

  • Process documentation expertise and ability to own and maintain division procedural articles in partnership with the Knowledge Management team.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Microsoft’s suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting, triaging, organizational, prioritization and project management skills.

  • Previous experience developing a team with a strong knowledge of the company's products, services, policies, procedures, and culture.

  • Effective people leadership, time management, delegation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
