We are seeking an IS Security Engineer to join our rapidly growing organization. This is a highly technical role providing excellent career development opportunities for the successful candidate. You will be working with the Centralized Services and Internal Support Teams to support internal security platforms and systems, including Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, ThreatLocker, Cavelo, and Intune.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Internal Support Manager to develop and execute the Internal support Team vision

  • Work with internal staff on support solutions

  • Research and develop service related processes and solutions

  • Create documentation for support best practices

  • Automate existing processes

  • Research and deploy new systems and tools to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Manage the systems used by staff to perform their duties

  • Proactively work cross-functionally to build relationships and rapport amongst highly technical and non-technical co-workers

  • Identify potential obstacles and suggest operational and security improvements

  • ยท Participate in organizational initiatives to improve functions, processes, and technology for Atlas Technica and clients

Requirements:

  • At least two years of IT Security experience

  • Experience configuring and administering Microsoft Defender (Identity and Endpoint)

  • Experience administering Endpoint Protection (Intune preferred)

  • Knowledge of risk assessment and vulnerability assessment principles and tools

  • Understanding of the following:

  • Incident Response and Threat Detection

  • Identity and Access Management

  • Security Policies and Standards (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc)

  • Experience working in an MSP environment (preferred, but not required)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong ability to work independently

Desirable Qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field

  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, MS-500, etc.)

  • Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners)

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
