This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manager, Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) in our Biosciences division BID. You will have the chance to lead a world-class team of TSS, driving sales strategies and achieving outstanding business results for our Imaging & High Content Analysis product portfolio in North & Central Region. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring flawless execution of sales plans and setting ambitious targets. Essential Functions
Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to meet and exceed sales targets for the Imaging and HCA products in North & Central Region.
Lead the tactical implementation of business plans across teams and geographies.
Influence and collaborate with global and local leadership, including General Manager/Vice President levels.
Continuously seek process and operational improvement opportunities, aligning strategies accordingly.
Coordinate contracts and quotations within company guidelines, ensuring competitive pricing to maintain and increase margins .
Major Responsibilities
This role encompasses a variety of major responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Partnering with management to define short and long-term strategic plans for the portfolio.
Implementing commercial strategies aligned with global and regional objectives.
Leading and motivating a technically proficient team compose of 7 Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) to achieve high performance.
Supervising sales processes, including forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using CRM systems.
Identifying and evaluating market growth opportunities and engaging in business development.
Ensuring financially sound operations with solid governance and compliance.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to formulate strategies for accelerated growth.
Staying updated on market intelligence and competitive landscape.
Nature and Scope
Demonstrated capability in strategic and tactical business planning and execution.
Strong analytical skills and business insight.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse customer and internal audiences.
Ability to interface effectively with all customer types and internal teams to achieve desired results.
Proven team-building skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Ideal Experience
Management experience is a plus.
Familiarity with Imaging products and cellular analysis.
Experience with selling capital equipment and proven experience in selling technique to drive closing sales..
Knowledge of business practices in the Life Science industry.
Experience collaborating with collaborators in a global matrix environment.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
