GE Vernova Supply Manager – Field Services (m/f) in Remote, Switzerland

Job Description Summary

The Supply Manager - Field Services will deliver best in class supply management processes for Steam Field Services across the APAC, EMENAT, SSA regions and globally for Generator Specialists. Target customer service and revenue performance while optimizing cost and utilization. Collaborate with Steam segment specific services, operations, finance, commercial, S&OP, and OTR process teams along with Gas One Field Services teams. Own the supply planning processes and deliver the supply plans over the defined S&OP horizon to be utilized by the leadership, financial & reconciliation teams for decision making to improve Value stream performance for customers and internal targets. Drive governance aligned with global S&OP guidelines and improving the standard work delivering desired supply performance.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the monthly supply planning S&OP process for Field Resources for Fossil (excel Americas) incl personnel, tooling etc. across available supply chains within Gas Power (SPS & One Field Services) for scope of Steam Power Services Demand

  • Organize, prepare for, and deliver the monthly supply management reviews for Field Services for Fossil excl Americas

  • Collaborating with other Field Services Supply Managers - Organize, prepare for, and deliver the monthly supply management reviews for Field Services - Global

  • Drive governance of the S&OP supply management cycle of Field Services in line with the latest global standard work

  • Deliver Scenario Planning requirements for supply (Risk & Opportunities) aligned with the segment financials

  • Process/standard work definition for any segment/region specific variations.

  • Partner with the FP&A team to reconcile the financial plans aligned with Demand & Supply outcomes.

  • Participate in the FP&A financial planning cycles incl LRF & budgeting to ensure alignment on the S&OP data inputs

  • Drive trainings with required stakeholders as per the SIPOC

  • Review maturity assessments for Field Services supply management & partner with the Lean, S&OP ISD team & business stakeholders to clearly define improvement in standard work & daily management

  • Participate in Lean Roadmap & Kaizen based action plans to accelerate S&OP maturity of the organization especially in Field Services supply planning. Identify and implement improvements in the process to increase accuracy and efficiency.

• Collaborate with operations, Field resources, sourcing, One Field Services & customer facing teams to ensure adequate supply planning based on demand forecasts. Balance resource levels to optimize gross margin and working capital while maintaining service level targets. Facilitate effective communication to manage risks, respond to changes in demand or supply capacities proactively, and ensure operational agility.

• Monitor and report key performance metrics for S&OP effectiveness.

• Use data analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in supply performance to enable required timely decision making. Implement and leverage advanced planning tools and techniques. Develop and present monthly S&OP reports and dashboards for leadership.

• Stay current with industry best practices and trends in S&OP and supply chain/resource optimization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or equivalent

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in any of the following functions – Supply Chain Planning or Operations, Field Planning or Operations

  • Coherent understanding of the Steam Power Services value chains and how the different parts of our business interact.

  • Knowledge of current Company ERP, CRM & major systems

  • Experience in working across different functions to influence desired results

  • Proven ability to build cross-functional connections & influence through personal involvement and trust

  • Knowledge of demand, supply planning & related financial analysis

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
