WTW Manager Onboarding - Lead Associate in Reigate, United Kingdom
The Manager Onboarding Team (MOB) is a work-stream within WTW Global Investment Operations and is responsible for the coordination and management of legal/due diligence reviews related to an investment into third-party global asset manager funds on behalf of UK delegated pension fund clients as well as for our internal WTW funds (TWIM).
Manager Onboarding deals with a variety of different activities including instructing external legal counsel to conduct and complete legal and tax reviews for our clients/WTW funds; managing and completing proxy voting matters on behalf of our clients; and assisting internal stakeholders with ad hoc legal or tax queries using the advice of internal legal counsel.
Manager Onboarding look to complete the due diligence workflow/approval process utilising our internal system (Microsoft Dynamics), allowing trade/portfolio management groups to effectively place market trades in line with our clients agreed Investment Guidelines and Fiduciary Management Agreement.

Fund documentation coordination with asset managers to confirm legal and investment terms on behalf of clients.
Maintain and build relationships with external lawyers, asset managers and internal stakeholders.
Learn about the various asset classes and the underlying structure of our clients’ investments.
Coordinate the review of and complete proxy voting forms related to AGM, EGM, and special investor consent for changes to a fund/ fund documentation.
Good communicator, pro-active, self-starter with a keen eye for detail and ability to multi-task.
Quick learner that can work well in a team as well as on their own.
Investment fund documentation and some legal contract knowledge is required.
Asset management and UK pension fund knowledge is desirable.
Team player with keenness to challenge processes and work with the team to initiate and drive change.
