Applied Materials Application Development Engineer in Rehovot, Israel

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer specializing in Machine Learning and model-based metrology solutions. As an Application Developer, you will be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team consisting of Algorithm Developers, Physicists, Semiconductor professionals, and Software Engineers. Together, we develop innovative products and solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customers, local teams, and algorithm/software developers, proposing solutions to create and improve our products.

What you should have:

  • A minimum of an M.Sc. degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.

  • Well-developed technical communication skills to interact with international teams.

  • Theoretical and hands-on experience (2+ years) in model-based metrology solutions.

  • Experience in least one of the following areas: Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning.

  • Proficiency in software development, with Python skills – advantage.

  • Experience in Physical modeling or Numerical simulations – advantage.

What you will do:

  • Lead product application roadmap through understanding of customer technologies and critical gaps.

  • Lead the execution of demonstrations, beta testing, and evaluations at customer sites, through high involvement in the SOW and commitment to schedule.

  • Analyze, develop, and transfer new capabilities in the system envelope from definition to development to implementation in the field.

  • Collaborate with a diverse team to contribute to the development of cutting-edge products in the semiconductor industry.
