Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Technologist to join us at our Region, SK office!
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Provide technologist and technician services to projects either individually or as part of a larger project team.
Services may include:
Drafting and design of various civil and water resources projects
Preliminary and construction surveying
Construction Supervision
Compiling reports
Ensuring the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner
Working with and maintaining a positive relationship with clients and contractors
Work in both office and field settings
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed an diploma in an Engineering Technology program
PREFFERED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience collecting preliminary survey data using GPS, Total Station Technology and/or conventional survey equipment
Experience performing construction layout surveys is an asset
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and design software such as Civil 3D is desired.
Sound understanding of drawing layouts using pre-established standards on items such as text styles, blocks, etc.
Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services
Accuracy with details and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
